How many of you have your items on ArtYah only.

And how many are still holding onto Etsy?
Just curious

Ebay gets my seconds or oppsies. On Etsy too,  but when Art Yah takes off ... Etsy will become my secondary shop.

As my listings on Etsy expire, I move them over here.  I now have only 50 items left over there and nearly 300 here or ArtYah.

I'm still on Etsy, but I'm putting all my energy and new items into Artyah. Every time I sell something on Etsy, I include a cute flyer in the package referring them to my new "bigger and better" store here. Etsy makes doing anything there a real project and it takes forever.

I will continue to list items both here at Artyah and other locations.  I came to Artyah to diversify where I can be found online not to choose one venue over another.  I might list some things on Facebook or Instagram or whatever else as well.  My ultimate goal is that someday I will be doing JoeBcrafts work as my full time gig.  To that end I will get my brand and items out to as many places as possible without becoming spammy.

I guess that is a good way to do it

I don't plan on leaving any other site, just hoping to expand my reach on the internet during slow times by selling on more venues.  I still have tons of stuff on Etsy, Aftcra and eBay and have at least a couple hundred of items to list on ArtYah still.  I'm starting to get enough sales from Etsy and eBay to keep me relatively busy, so I will get back to listing here when I have my next lull.  The one site I'm really worried about is Aftcra.  The total items on the site have been dwindling and we haven't heard anything from the owner in many, many months...no site improvements or newsletters or anything.  Goodsmiths already failed on me a few years ago (I was pretty happy there) so I hope I don't have another one, Aftcra, fizzle out on me.  I have high hopes for ArtYah because of Craig's long-term dedication and passion.  (:  So I won't be recommending Aftcra to anyone right now, since I don't even know if they'll be around much longer. I keep listing my new items there because it's free to do so, but always worry that I might be wasting my time.

But, yes, Etsy does frustrate me in lots of ways, mainly that they have moved so far from their roots at this point and they don't genuinely care about sellers.  It's a shame.  Mainly, it's so much harder to get sales there than just a few years ago.

I know exactly what you are saying about Etsy. You don't even get the views that yo once did unless this mess they have started with the views just doesn't show them all. sometimes they show I have no views but yet I will have something bookmarked  so someone had to look at it to bookmark it.

I still have some things on Etsy and am slowly moving them to here.  I know I have to modify the photo sizes to 800x800 and 72 dpi, so that takes some time.  But I love the enthusiasm here, and the visits are great!  Last year I was on another handmade site that had many well known artisans (was approached by the site builder, so I said Yes!) and folded within a year.  But I didn't see the views nor interest, nor as much support as is found here.  So I'm hopeful for Artyah!

I'm glad to have this update from you re Aftcra. I never opened shop there, but was always considering it. One thing, it was always so quiet there, no forum or community, no data at all displayed for visitors on shops homepages that have made sales, etc. I always hated that name too, so awkward to pronounce. And when there's not a peep from the owners in some time, it's suspicious. If the owner loses interest, so do many of the sellers. They feel deserted.

I also had joined Goodsmith's shortly before it shut down. A few months ago I completely lost interest in opening my shop at Etsy. I had been reading in the forums for a couple of years, and working on my shop. It's so disappointing there now that my interest has died.

I will be adding to my Artyah shop very soon.  What I wonder - when you sellers transfer items over from Etsy over to Artyah, do you leave the items on Etsy as well as Artyah?  Are you able to keep the same item in both shops?  Is this advisable to keep items in both shops, or not?
Thanks in advance for any help.
