Then do what they ask, delete them and be done with it, but don't take it out on the rest of us.

This! If the people who didn't want to support the site were already asking for their shops to be closed, there was no reason to send an email to the rest of us saying get out if you etc.--unless the goal was for everyone to become less supportive and leave.

Also, I relisted a couple of times even though I never had a sale, and was still hanging around waiting for the site rebuild in the hope that a more functional site might help bring in buyers. I've been waiting and waiting forever for promised changes, and while I realize that doesn't always go as planned, it felt pretty supportive on my end. I know my tiny money must not be much of your expenses, but in my world it's all I have.

Hi Rachael,

Yes, ArtYah had to do a roll back to March 9th so anything that was listed after March 9th was deleted. You will need to relist anything you posted after March 9th. I would wait though. Craig had released an email saying that they would be charging $0.05 for listings for the next two weeks. That has been wiped out with the roll back. Wait to see if ArtYah offers that again before listing.

Thank you Sherry.
I listed for 0.5 for each listing as per the offer but how daft to have been given an offer that was only going to be valid as a listing for two days!
I won't relist if I have to pay again whether it is half price or not.

Sorry! Guess I wasn't clear. Anything you list now will still be good for the full 120 days. Your listings were wiped out because the site had to roll back to a version that was current as of March 9th. There was a problem with any listings that were uploaded previous to March 9th in that the listing photos were not showing. To correct this, ArtYah had to reload the site to a version from March 9th. The $0.05 listing offer was NOT valid for 2 days only!

It read much like a threat to all sellers/members. I am sure most of those who have joined ArtYah want it to succeed. There is, however, a limit for each of us in terms of time and money to expend to help make that happen.

I said, "been there; done that". When it happened to me, I did not feel I could call up the remaining customers and demand they buy more. The major responsibility for finding a path to success was, in the end, mine.

DixSterling, I think you just added a pin to the board "The Best of Artyah." You might want to rethink your efforts. I got an email alert that Artists' Union has made the board secret now. Doesn't display to the public anymore, only to members, and there's only 20 of those. I would have msg'd you at Pinterest, but members usually don't see those msgs. Also, this msg is good for any other members of that board who may become interested in pinning more.

So is it safe to relist now? Or should I wait a few days please? I ask because I still see a lot of invalid image tickets all over the site.
Thank you.

That is what I am waiting on Craig to answer. I want to make sure the roll back is complete before I list items. Also want to know if ArtYah plans on re-offering the $0.05 listing fee promo. Keep checking the forums for a message from ArtYah Customer Service to let you know it is safe to relist is all I can suggest.

“I expect to be facing a lot of anxiety about shipping methods and prices, as well. Does anyone know of the simplest way of setting that up?”]

I have a spreadsheet that shows weights and classes of items to be shipped (First Class, Priority, Flat Rate). If you are familiar with spreadsheets, I can email it to you. I also have another spreadsheet with my listings and the prices and weights of each item. This is linked to the shipping costs. I package up the item, weigh it, and that is what my shipping cost is.

That would be great!

Do you only ship within the U.S. when you sell through Artyah?

I have calculated shipping set up through Etsy, so I can ship anywhere in the world. I hope that the new platform for Artyah will have that before long.

I have a scale, and am familiar with that part of the process. My biggest worry is just selling something overseas and having to pay more for shipping than the item's price.

On Etsy I sold a $15 pair of hairpins to someone in Holland. They paid $25 for shipping. I guess I would have to cancel the order if that happened on Artyah.

I take this topic has been wrapped up.
One of the things that attracted me to Artyah was customer service and apparent care for their sellers and community.
I need to reevaluate how feel about all this.
I am not going to ask to close my shop but will keep it, cause I've done all, that was required on my part, when signing up, and had nothing but good will and intentions, both as a seller and buyer (all my buyers were directed here by me and I ran the Artyah Instagram page for a while), but my good faith has been disturbed and I need to take time off from this.
I was hoping for a more professional handling of this unnecessary disturbance.

I don't will reenlist my items for now, I need to see what else will happen.

Few things made me worry, first the adm  communication the way they think about their customer for me is complete wrong.

How to be sure similar problems like the listing gone will not happen again.?

And the more Important is in a other group people said their is a problem with PayPal and the owner of this site, so what will happen is we can not use anymore PayPal on this site?

My first reaction to the messages being sent out were "not my circus not my monkeys".  I am approaching this from a professional and not personal what is best for my business standpoint.

@ Francisbel = can you explain further the problem you think there is with Paypal?

The payment method for this site is using Paypal which means that credit and debit cards can also be used though it so it is a good method.
