While I have seen complaints about lack of sales on ArtYah, I am happy to at least be SEEN here. Doesn't happen often any more at "that other site".

Hi Christine,

I am reading your post with the widest smile and saying to myself at times, "Yes, that's for sure."
On when you wrote how ArtYah was for my wife and small group of friends, pocketbook - Most of all SANITY

:-)

We have come a long way. We have celebrated our victories and pushed harder during our defeats and when we are criticized, it is hurtful. I know I said things that I should not have written. I have learned that I will not be taking anything personally any longer. Keep my head in the game and try my best to be positive, even when we are pushing harder to climb up over a hill.

Thank you so much for all of your help and support!!!

Very much appreciated always :-)

Hope you and your family too have a wonderful Holiday season and Merry Christmas

Craig, I have not seen this post until now. Have had some things going on that took a lot of my time but I am still on the Facebook doing my thing as little as it may be. I have been selling on line since 2001 and this is the first site that I or anyone else can interact with the owner. Usually you do not even know who the owner is and have no say in what goes on. Here we can put our input in and you do your best to give us what we ask for. No other site that I know of does this and I have been on many of them.
I am hanging in here even with very few sales and still seeing something great on the future for this site.
I appreciate all your and Laurie's hard work you are putting in here.

For now Relax and enjoy the Christmas Season

I wish you and yours a Blessed Christmas and New Year.
May God bless each of you in all you are doing.

Craig, I appreciate this timely post. I committed to the end of the year this summer and recently to the end of the rebuild. I have two shops and I have been letting items expire because I can't afford the relist with no sales. It is not just Artyah that is costing money but the two Es as well. However I have not been in the negative on those two sites these last two months so have had to put my listings there. I live on Social Security and a very small pension so when I have to pay to list and have no sales I am taking away from my food budget. I am not telling you this for sympathy but to explain why I cannot relist at this time. I will relist after Christmas.

No sales is the main reason I am not relisting until after the holidays but I also was not happy with some of the unkind words from several on the forums to other sellers and didn't want to be associated with unkind unprofessional people. So now I will stay away from the forums and rely on the updates for info about Artyah.

Merry Christmas and many blessings to you.  Debbie

Hi Debbie,

Thank you very much for being a part of the ArtYah family and staying with us. I know there are many alternatives to ArtYah as well. While I do agree that sales are not the same as the bigger sites that have better traffic. In our defense, we are making sales on a daily basis.

May I recommend perhaps listing a few items and keeping your name out there on our site.

If you listed 9 items that keeps you under $1.00 and you will not get invoiced.

Not listing anything at all = no sales.
Having items listed may also = no sales. but also
Having items listed may also = a sale here and there.

Whichever road you travel, I appreciate you for being a part of ArtYah!

Thank you and have a wonderful holiday season, Merry Christmas!

Bigger sticks of discontent/rudeness are thrown at E hourly and 99% of the time they IGNORE and never respond. Like dealing with a ghost of sorts. That ticks me off more than anything you may have said whether right or wrong. You are not only the owner here, but you are human.

Please remember you are never going to please everyone no matter how hard you try. But some people should at least stop moaning long enough to see your effort.

Dealing with health issues this past month, but I'm planning on hanging in here to see the fruits of YOUR labor. Will be rebuilding my entire shop after holidays and getting a better grip on feeling normal again!

May your holiday memories be kind ones and long lasting. Blessings, Mary

Hi Mary,

E has been around long enough and has "earned" their right to not be able to please everyone all the time.

Even though you and I know that we cannot please everyone all the time, I am going to make it my goal to be able to do so.
I will be practical and no promises will be made. No timelines will be given if a request is asked for.

We will be moving forward in a positive manner that will far outweigh any misgivings that I may have promised in the past.
Those items such as shopping cart and shipping calculations, are not available to us with the current platform.

I do appreciate you very much for staying with us. I hope this new year finds you healthier.

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas!

Thank you,

Hi Norma,

Thank you very much! You are very kind.

Our site has come a long way in a short time. New technology for websites has put us a little behind the times though. But we will get there.

Thanks again and have a wonderful Holiday season.

Craig, I missed the brouhaha around this topic, but I have to say that I am VERY happy and impressed with the site and what you're doing with it. The enthusiasm and optimism shown continually by you and team has always made me feel that this place will prove to eventually be a formidable venue. Keep your eye on the path, and don't be discouraged.

I've been a seller on eBay, eBid, Bonanza, Zibbet, MadeItMyself, DeviantArt, 1000Markets, Ruby Lane, Ruby Plaza and was on Etsy for almost 5 years, in the beginning and have seen places go up and down. Some of these places got better, some went under and some got worse. One thing all venues have in common: Everyone needs to pitch in, in their own way. Sellers and admin alike.

I was a VERY enthusiastic seller on the 'other' E site, and was handing out promotional material when people everywhere were saying 'What's E?'. They lost their way, and I feel Artyah is 'the' answer to that, and can fill the void they left.
We're all in this together, and it will work :-)

Craig, I too missed all the hooy-fooy that went on... I appreciate you and the ArtYah team & all your doing... We all make mistakes and say things we shouldn't.... The important things is that we admit to ourselves & learn from our mistakes, which you are doing.... Thank you for that....
Being handicapped with arthritis, online selling is all I can do to help my husband with our income... I have been at E for years & just when my sales started to really get going they started all the changes & crap that led to taking away my views and sales.... And you can't talk to them, they've gotten to big for they're britches....
I'm hanging in here with you and the team...
Thank you,    Merry Christmas to you your family and those here at ArtYah

Hi Ida,

Thank you so much for your kindness, much appreciated.

The brouhaha was surrounding a few sellers and I let things get a little carried away and took some of my frustrations out on the posts and topics that were being discussed. Very unprofessional on my behalf. I am very willing to admit that and feel good about being able to admit my mistakes.

We are all human and make mistakes. I have learned from them and will not make them again.

We are looking towards the sky and "the sky's the limit." We can't wait to get going with our new build. We have learned as well from this platform (which has come a very long way) and will continue to make ArtYah the best we can be.

Thank you for all your support!

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!

Craig, you have been nothing but above board and clear here. You’ve responded to my silly questions quickly and without tension. You’ve been supportive and patient. It’s sad that you’ve experienced others shortcomings, but you seem to rise above it.

Although I’m not on here as much as I would like (I plan to change that soon!), I always enjoy being here. I know it takes time to get a website up and running, and having to “dodge pianos” can be disheartening. But keep in mind I support all that you and Artyah do!

Thank you for providing a quality product, being honest, and helpful.

Bet

Hi Beth,

Thank you so much for your words of kindness and very much appreciated.

I love helping people. I like to treat people as I would like to be treated.
Sometimes I take things the wrong way and then react without thinking it through.
But, I will be thinking things through a lot more and not reacting or responding negatively.
That is my new approach and I will try my hardest to keep it that way.

You have always been a great supporter for ArtYah and we really appreciate it very much.

Thank you and have a Happy Holiday Season!
