Spyderbytez...I just went to your shop to see the ship and message Lesley Fry was talking about. I'm not seeing anything but 'Specializing in Depression Era, etc.......'. I wonder why I can't see it. Wonder if it is a glitch of some sort on my end. I'll try again tomorrow.
You have some beautiful things in your shop!

Ohh... that's all under the "policies" button, SewNSew (oh lordy, I just "got" that... "so & so"!)

Thank you for the compliment on my things... I love vintage!   Real vintage, not this "at least 20 years old" stuff... my gawd, I'm half a century, but to me, vintage still means before I was born, LOL!

So. Much. Stuff.   Not getting enough out of here to justify bringing home more, so I have been confining my thrifting excursions to only Senior Day Tuesdays to take advantage of the discount, hahaha!

You have a marvelous eclectic selection in your shop... seems you've got a knack for accommodating just about everyone's tastes!  Wish I could figure that out, I just bring home stuff I wouldn't mind being stuck with.  [biggrin]

Yes, it's hard to stop buying because sometimes you're not selling fast enough to keep up with the space required to hold it all[rolleyes] . I buy sooo much fabric on a weekly basis! Stored in large totes and stacked on top of each other covering 3 walls in the bedroom! Because of the Summer slowdown in sales my inventory is not keeping up with the buying.  I've tried to limit buying to every couple of weeks til sales start getting better.

And thanks so much for visiting my shop[smile]  Have a good one girl!

DARN IT ANYWAY!!

It just logged me out while I was WORKING on a listing!!   So when I went to list, it said something about not being authorized.   This happened before, and I finally figured out I was because I got logged out... thought it was just a fluke, guess not.

The incredibly aggravating thing about this is that I had just finished agonizing over my tags.  When I backspaced to get back to my listing, half my info was missing and needed to be re-entered.

This is NOT cool.  I have been working pretty steadily for the last couple hours, I do not understand why I would get logged out.   [frown]

O
K... just talked to Craig (I LOVE that online chat!), and he said the site had to be shut down for a few because of spammers.  Always someone who has nothing better to do than make other folks' lives difficult.  ::mutter::

Keep two windows open, sign in again on the second one and hopefully the first one will work, it has when I have had that problem - or I opened a second window to sign in.

Oh if ya'll see my inventory you would panic like I am. So everyone else is having a hard time selling in the summer as well. I just attributed it to being people are outdoors more and not on the computer looking at buying. Also most families are saving up for vacations and have little extra money to spend. When do you find the sales really pick up at what point in the year would you say it starts to slow again. Also if you make a sale in the store do you get an email or do you have to keep checking the store everyday. I know one thing there must be traffic because I have hundreds of views just no sales yet. I sell vintage too, mostly glass. I try to keep my prices low and sometimes only get back what I paid for the item to begin with. How many sales has anyone else had in their shops? Do you predict that in the next year or so it will be a good competition between Etsy and ArtYah?

Craig told me to switch to another browser like google chrome and I haven't had the problem again. I was using Bing the two times it happened to me. Want to talk about aggravating I had completed both of my listings and was just going to my pages for the paste part that accompanies all of my listings regarding vintage items. I was hot under the collar. It hasn't happen to me since I have started using google chrome.

Have you heard about the spam email that has been sent to so many of us? If one is sent to you, Do Not open the Zip file. Just guessing but maybe it's a bug that's causing your problems right now. You need to report to Craig.

Hi, Christine - I do have two windows open at all times, the problem wasn't logging back on because I knew this time what happened, it was getting back to my listing from the "error" page.  Maybe I should have tried to reload instead.  Both times I was using Google Chrome.  I am glad I now know what happened this time, but am not sure about the first.  Will pay careful attention next time it happens.   [frown]

No waaaaay am I gonna open any file in an email!  Oh, nuh-uh-uh!!    I've beat that into my largely internet-illiterate hubby's skull as well.  We don't DO that!  [nono]

Always good to be warned, though... just stuff like that is worth maintaining lurk-status on the forums.

I got a message on both my accounts saying they had bought items about a week ago and sent payment to paypal but haven't heard anything from me. I clicked on the link but got a warning to not open it so I didn't. I reported it to Craig.

I have been lucky with the scammers.
I haven't gotten any in my ArtYah, Zibbet or Etsy shops.
