Hi and welcome
Let me know what tips you might need. Setting up? or anything else. When you set up your paypal email address, make sure your instant check out box is checked. If not it won't give the buyer the paypal link finish the check out.

All the best

Hi and welcome [smile]
I would love to look at your shop but, you don't have a link to it.

You can easily add your shop link in the signature.

At the top of this page you will see control panel click on that and scroll down to where it says signature copy your shop URL there.

That is also where you can add an avatar if you choose.

Hall2er, you can find the link to your store by going to your shop-gallery, copy the URL and paste it in the signature in the control panel, something must have gone wrong because is not showing under your post.

Welcome and best of luck!  I love your quotes!

You might want to consider a picture of the back of the item.  That way the customer can see what the canvas is mounted on and how they might hang it.  Also add whether mounting hardware is included.

Hi,   You might want to avoid telling customers that they will have their item in under a week (one of the paintings I looked at), if they don't get it within this time due to weather, time of year, etc they may come back and say you guranteed it therefore they want their money back (they might not but some would).   You might also consider giving international postage prices as well (and mentioning that imports to EU, espeically UK have a limit of £15 before fees are charged and collected via postal service)

I agree with Christine about the shipping time!  You are just asking for trouble with that one!  Once the Post Office has it, you have absolutely no control over when it is delivered.
I always opt on the safe side and add a week to ten days longer than I think it will actually take.  It's called Cover your a--!  If the customer then receives it sooner, they think
it's a nice surprise!

Is there a step-by-step manual somewhere for new shop owners?  I'm having a hard time finding answers for some things in the forums and I don't want to bug Craig for every little thing.  Thanks!

Hi Vintagerepeats - there is no step by step manual, not yet anyway as Artyah is a young growing and evolving site and some of it might quickly be out of date but if you are having trouble finding your way around feel free to ask in the forums, they have only existed for a month so they are evolving also [biggrin]

I didn't know the forums were created only a month ago.  ArtYah is really doing well then.  Some forum replies are like a month, two months, 6 months old....no one responds to them.  On here it is within minutes or hours before there is a response.  That's great!

If we ever do have a manual, I hope is an actual manual and not a collections of useless articles like on that other site. I never found answers there and always went to the forums for answers.

I agree.  I'm not looking for Artyah to mimic E in that way.  I'm not tech savvy and need easy, step-by-step instructions and examples for everything, no matter how small.  What's small to some is a much bigger problem for others.  [smile]
