Hi Everyone,

Well believe it or not, people are shopping on ArtYah. Over the course of the last few months we have had people sign up just to buy an item as well as people already signed up.

Some items are priced in the $20.00 range and on the high end at around $150.00 with most goods selling in the $5.00 - $15.00 range.

An interesting occurrence or trend that we are also seeing is with sellers. Sellers are signing up to become a seller, but then they are not listing any items to sell. On average, we are getting roughly 100 sellers a month that sign up but do not list.

Of course we would love to see more items listed on ArtYah and I am sure that (when we have people interested in shopping our site) new customers would love to see a more robust selection of inventory to choose from.

We have two new publications that we are on the back cover coming out in about 10 days. Publication of over half a million issues. People have to pay $15.00 per issue and when you think about it, that means that they are deeply entrenched to what "Where Women Create" and "Summerset Home" have to offer. At a cost of $15.00 per issue that magazine does not go into the trash. That is a coffee table magazine that is most likely out for a few months if not longer. ArtYah is on the back cover. What that means for ArtYah is that we will have a lot of people seeing ArtYah (maybe even for the first time).

We need more inventory on our site. People are shopping on ArtYah.
It is difficult to make a sale with little or no items in a store.

Everything does take time. With all of the competition we have, we are holding our own. Artyah remains the true handmade, antiques & vintage, and craft supply site to shop on and more people are learning that about us.

Thank you,

Craig

That is great news to hear things are starting to sell.
As of yet I have not sold anything, so there is hope.
This is a nice venue and I do hope it grows.
Best of luck to all and future sales .

Hi Dee,

We have had people ask to close shop because they were not selling. I convinced many to stay and as it turns out a few have sold items since then. So, as ArtYah gets known more and more by the public, they will buy too.

I will be listing more when we are able to deactivate a listing and then reactivate it again.  I don't like that I have to end a listing and then a few days later pay to list it again if I want it back.

I also would love this option.
When I do shows I don't want to have to deactivate and then pay to reactivate what didn't sell.
Right now I leave them up and hope I don't sell anything that sold at a show.

Why not add a note to your front page announcement that you are doing a show and some items may sell there, if this happens you will refund, or if practical make a similar one ?

You can also put your whole shop on holiday/vacation and then reopen it when you return - I think you shop announcement under your banner stays visible so you can edit this to suit the circumstances.  I did this when I was ill in December and closed everything down for a few weeks
