allaboutthebuttons     Thank you!  Thank you!   Craig asked me to stop pestering him about "rearrange items"    As soon as I stopped, lots of others started asking for it, so it's good to know it isn't just me that thinks
it's important.  I don't understand why we needed this forum when we already had one (for now, anyway).  I guess everyone's priorities are different!  I can't imagine moving into a new home, and not being able
to put my couch where I want it!!  Wherever it lands from the movers is where it has to stay, haha.  That's how my shop feels!

I'm sure that rearrange function is being looked into as it is a very useful tool to maximize the appeal and flexibility of an online store, so I'll be overjoyed when it makes an appearance! Till then, I'll be patient :-)

In an online shop I think of each page like an isle within a B&M shop. So it's great to have like things grouped together especially when things do sell.

Another reason for  the rearrange feature is I sell mostly seasonal items. This means I can group each of  Christmas, Fall, Easter, Valentines Day items etc. on their own pages together.

Right now I'm rather hesitate to put in some of my spring items or Christmas even tho' I sell all seasonal items year round, but my fall items would be more prominent now and that's what I would rather have on front pages ...

So hopefully it will be coming in the very near future. In the meantime have lots of work to do to get more items listed! Ü

I am going to be different in opinion BUT if you sell an item and it goes to be the 1st listing (I'm not sure it moves...does anyone know?)  anyway, if you have a lot of sales, they are going to be mixed up.  I tried on E to be organized and grouped like things with like things but with a lot of sales, it got to be impossible....besides, they can search for one particular item.....just my opinion!

skydove.  On the "e" site, it doesn't move if you sell it (providing you have more than one)!  The next one just takes it's place in the same spot you had put it in.  I have lots of sales there and it's wonderful!
Hopefully, if we get it here, it is set up that way as well (in case sales start to happen).

I really feel sorry for Craig...ArtYah is so much newer than Et$y and it is unrealistic to think we would have all the bells and whistles that it has taken Et$y years to get.  I think ArtYah is making great strides and perhaps shouldn't mimic Et$y too much in how the site performs, as I like it's uniqueness.  Just another opinion...

Craig is doing a great job, as far as I'm concerned.  I don't think though, that just because etsy took years to get something, that Artyah should make the same mistake, on much needed features. There are some features that are much more important than TWO forums.

I am not saying it is not a good idea, I just do not know why ?

Right now we are limited to 7 sections. We don't get to choose them and I have no idea HOW they are chosen. I have 3 with hats but there is no way to tell I have toddler sweaters unless you search in my shop or look at every page. It also appears that I sell mostly yarn, but that also is not true. I sell knitted accessories and the yarn is just to clean out my closet and provide some sales during the summer. I would really like to have a variety of listings on the first page to showcase my work, not just whatever I happened to list the last few times. Craig says he is working on this now and I anxiously await this feature.

I agree with LesleyHandknits.  Rearrange is extremely important.  In any store, the stuff isn't just dumped - it's put in the right section.  Men's wear is together, appliances are together.
You have the option of featuring particular products, or seasonal in the front of your store.  People comment that etsy took years for rearrange, and that's true.  However, Artyah should
learn from their mistake rather than doing the same thing!  Craig says they are working on "rearrange" so hopefully when it's here, nothing will move after we have set up our shop the way
we want it.  If something sells, another one the same takes it's place, if we have more than one.  If something is "sold out" I can relist it, and it goes right back where I want it.
Otherwise the first sale will ruin the whole thing!  I, for one, am very anxious for this great feature!

I am just the opposite....if something sells, I would like for it to appear as my #1 listing.  2nd item sells, my number 2 listing, and etc.  That way all of your best sellers are the first thing buyers see.

Everyone has their own way of marketing that works for them.
I market my things so they sell more evenly.  I would rather feature a slower seller, and turn it into a great seller.
