I am sure that I am missing something, but I am trying to upload my Etsy listings here and I can't seem to figure out how to communicate the processing time.  Little help anybody?

Wouldn't you just write it in your listing description?

There is no "official" place for processing times.  We all do it differently. I prefer to put them at the end of my subtitles. As an example: https://www.artyah.com/listing/details/11007222/small-winter-infinity-scarf-extra-soft-loop-cowl-black-turquoise-blue-purple

I would put it in my shop description because that is so easy to change, with a note to look there in the listings.  Then if I was very busy with orders I could extended it and shorten it in the quieter times without having to change everything

Uh-oh.  I change my processing times quite frequently.  I am guessing that there is no mass edit?  I certainly won't be able to put this in listing descriptions when I have 100+ listings to change every time.  I guess the shop description is the only place that will do for now.  Are made to order items not encouraged here?  I rarely am able to keep a large amount of stock for immediate shipment.

If it is the same sentence that you are adding to most listings, can you not copy/paste the sentence?  I do that all the time.  I just put the cursor where I want the sentence to go!

Lots of us make made-to-order items, no worries about that. (: That's pretty much all I do. We might get a way to indicate processing times in the future, but I imagine it's way down on the list right now.

If desperate, you could put info about processing times in the Payment Instructions where I think most buyers will see it and it's something you can edit easily and only do once.  If I get extremely busy in the winter I won't be taking the time to edit every one of my subtitles (where I have my processing times) so I will probably add a sentence in the Payment Instructions about extra days being added to all of them.  It's not ideal, but better than nothing. (:

Thank you for your replies.  Michele, I think I will do as you do until there is a better option.  I typically keep my processing time as short as I can manage: 1-2 bus days when it is slow, 1-2 weeks during the holiday rush, but I guess I can err on the side of caution here on Artyah, just so I won't have to change text so often.
