Please give some time today to keep your prayers coming to God and His Angels to hold Texans and all of our Texan Shop owners, in their arms away from harm. We can replace things and infrastructure but not lives, please pray for them. To everyone who may be reading, I am a new to ARTYAH shop owner and while I do not have any sales yet, lots and lots of views. Keep safe everyone this terrible weather weekend.

welcome I have friends near Houston, one is a horse friend that has not refinished building their home from the floods last year, they lost power and we can't reach them. I have another jewelry friend east of Houston, she is okay so far. They said on the news last night that rain totals could reach 50 inches or more. Julie

http://www.novad.org The link may or may not work from link above direct and may need to be put in another window. Not sure why. It is a working link. Is what the head of FEMA gave if anyone wants to help or volunteer. The link can open to each State that has ways to help.

I lived in Houston in the 90's. A live feed from some of the TV coverage showed the flooding of the apartment building I used to live in. Goosebumps and so sad for the people and what used to be a very beautiful building. Blessings sincerely to Houston.

Don't forget South Asia - estimated over 1200 deaths so far and over 40 million so far affected by the excessive moonsoon floods where it has been raining for weeks over three countries, India, Bangladesh and Nepal. These are not rich countries and with all the water there are likely to be many more deaths due to waterborne diseases.

Yes, so much to pray for. So many tragedies.

It's painful to watch the TV images coming in from these disasters. My heart goes out to everyone affected.
These local aide orgs are struggling with massive overload.
I hope it's ok to share this article about where and how to help and donate:
<I removed the link - as NYT's online seems to have broken it>

"http://www.novad.org " I've seen this touted elsewhere. The link goes to a page with various choices of on-line dating page and a Katrina relief. That was 12 years ago! At best, it's old; at worst, it's a scam.
