In the etsy forum, you click on an interesting avatar and can then go directly to their shop.
Here, you have to hunt for a link . Just different.
I like the nesting too.

For me, this one is much easier for discussions, like Christine said, and the G+ community is good for viewing product pics. The G+ layout is not good for discussions, because like FBook posts are quickly pushed down and out of sight. Aside from the search window, which few people use or notice, there's no way to easily identify posts. Here, you can go immediately to Latest Posts and scan down to see a long list of subjects, and go directly to where you want to be. Saves so much time.

I agree Lesley! That forum is so easy to navigate. I can find the only discussion posts by just clicking on the discussion forum.

Go to Categories  page, click on one of the categories, and you'll see a New Topic tab to the right top of the Subject block of discussions, not the subcategories section at the top.
