So happy that I made my first purchase but to me, buying was confusing and here is why:

When I clicked to buy, there is no shopping cart but took me straight to the page to purchase.  There was a button to continue shopping, which I chose that as I wanted to look at other things in this sellers shop.  Then I get an email while looking, from ArtYah, thanking me for the purchase.  I hadn't purchased the first item yet, why did I get that email?  I was real concerned than so I left this sellers shop and went back to the page where I was to pay to make sure it was still there and I hadn't paid yet.  I hadn't so I'm not sure why the automated email was sent. I 

Sadly,,,I didn't go back to the sellers store and just went ahead and checkout the item I wanted.  I may go back another day but wondering if this will not be confusing to buyers too that come to shop and just leave out of confusion. 

Just posting my confused thought,,,,may not seem different to everyone else but to me it was confusing [confused][confused][confused]

I understand what you're saying, and I think I would also find it confusing.  I'm wondering if a person chooses several things from one shop, if they will receive a thank you for each individual item rather than a thank you for the whole purchase, once it is finalized?  Definitely would be confusing if it's the former.

That is another point that I didn't think about and I bet that it does since it did right after I went back into her store.  Hmmmmm???  I wonder if any others have had this happen when they bought something but want to continue shopping? [comp]

I made a multi item purchase and yes you get a thank you e-mail for each item (they were all purchased in the same shop).
The only part I was confused about was not getting an e-mail from paypal that I had submitted a payment.  I logged into my paypal account to make sure the payment had gone through to the seller.

The checkout process could be smoother, but I have shopped on sites that are way more confusing than this.

Oh yes Hooknsaw,,,,it wasn't the worse that I have ever shopped at but I was just posting to see if it had happened this way to anyone else.  It was just somewhat confusing but I do love ArtYah and will be purchasing more.  I just know that this what happens. [smile]  For me,,,when I did make the purchase,,,I did get notified from PayPal. [smile]

My suggestion for this is to have a live chat with Craig. He might be able to clarify things with you or even look into how the check out process might be construed from you as a buyer. This could lead to making it an easier more clear process for everyone.  This site is very open to making selling and buying a very pleasant place for everyone, and so far they are handling it with much openness and wonderful responses.
