Artyah and Zibbet beat out Aftcra and Artfire in this marketplace ranking prepared by Jeff Daigle, founder of Denver Business Design Consulting (dbdc). He uses Alexa to gather his data, and breaks it down so that even I can understand. He is a very skilled writer and I learned a lot by reading this.

I was on Zibbet and got almost to no traffic.  Admin support was slow, and I was limited in my shop layout page.  Artyah at least gives me better support and I can work with the layout, and better yet, I've received more traffic here than on Etsy for the time period.

And we're all hoping and pulling for traffic to increase here. Good to know that your traffic here surpassed Etsy's. Encouraging!

Just had a look and Alexa now ranks Artyah at
Alexa Traffic Rank

A bit increase from the 985,889 in, I think it was June.  UK is an even lower (better) number at

Traffic Rank in GB

57.2 percent come from UK to here.

31.0 from USA. 6.2 Latvia.
-------------

70.2 USA on Bonanza.

-------------------
Following this thread and went to Alexa.

Very surprised TBH by the most traffic to Artyah coming from the UK.

I do sell international on a case by case basis but mainly sell to the USA.

I also do have a Bonanza shop and Etsy shop.

Is Artyah based in the United Kingdom?

I did put the Alexa thingy on my toolbar and I usually visit a few times a day, wonder if that has any effect on the UK figures [crazy]

Artyah is US based, there are a few of us from the UK though

Just checked - this discussion forum has lower numbers than the main site

Interesting.  My views on Zibbet have been way up om the last few months but no sale. I had two sales on Artfire in the last week.  A lady saw a necklace in my Etsy shop (which is not open) and contacted me.  I sent her the necklace link which was on Artfire and she purchase.  She also wanted a custom piece fashioned after a sold necklace.  I have had nothing here but views which seem to have settled down lately.

Yes, views are pretty good and getting better I think. The word is definitely getting out there!

If views are not the possible problem for low sales then I'm starting to think it could possibly be that there is no cart as yet. And the check out process is a bit different. Maybe potential buyers are being put off by this. Guess we'll just have to wait and see if having a Cart will improve things for us all.

I don't think many are really thinking about the holiday season full force yet. With the hurricanes happenings ....people are probably sending extra $$$ they might have to aid in that recovery. These are all factors one might consider. After doing a big art show this past weekend that was the major talk for many and I live in central Wisconsin. The show was good but not like past years. People usually at this show have their Christmas lists out and are buying for Christmas, didn't hear or see much of that this past weekend.

Factors for the USA; we have a very unsettled government, wildfires spreading in the West, the hurricanes and that whole recovery from those. I think we as sellers of the art/craft, and vintage industry must be realistic and realize that we would be the last items people are going to consider buying before necessities. I'm not saying they won't buy it's just many are adjusting to many different factors right now.

Along with that, this is basically a new site if we are talking like this say next year or even the following year from now I'd say Art Yah may have a problem. For now Craig and his staff are doing a lot of upgrading with many things that are all going to be helpful. I certainly do wish the best for everyone and especially for those at Art Yah trying to get this site up and running smoothly. Ü ~Emilie~

I'm on Aftcra Art Fire, Etsy and Amazon.  Sell the best on Amazon.  I have only one item on Art Fire for a while, mostly just to keep Art Fire from filling my shop with other crap.  Etsy is slow but I have had a few sales lately.  Aftcra, I use it mostly to store product that has expired from Etsy until I decide whether to relist it somewhere.

I keep a record of all my sales month my month. I sell cold weather items, and my sales pick up in October when people realize it is getting colder and they need a new hat or mittens. It has been very hot this year on top of all the disasters mentioned by Emilie, but I think the hurricanes will have a huge impact on holiday sales. People who are flooded out of their homes or had them destroyed are going to be spending their money on appliances and furniture if they actually have a place to put them. Don't forget, the effects were felt by millions and millions of people all up the east coast, not just in Texas and Florida.
