Hello everyone.  I am so so frustrated.  I have not had a sale or even a watcher in over a month.   Am I doing something wrong???   I have added more items as suggested but still no lookers.  I now have 121 items mostly vintage.  Ann

You can[t tell if you have watchers or not. We have no way of knowing on our end so don't get discouraged. You may have lots of watchers and don't know it

We should be able to see who is watching us(boy, does that sound creepy. LOL)  I would also like to see a sellers sale #.  Most other sites show those.

at the top of your shop, click account, then click Listings...it will show you the accumulative number of times that each of your items has been viewed since it was listed.

As Gayle mentioned, we can see our listings' views but nothing else to indicate the popularity of our items.  In your summary, the items being watched are simply items you are watching yourself.  Another seller has contacted Craig recently about favorites and watching and he's hoping to change things soon for us so that we can see more information. [biggrin]

Not to be offensive here ...but why would Art Yah have to be like other sites. We all know that Etsy is heading majorly in the direction of Ebay since the new CEO was originally from there. Is that a good thing ...probably not. Yet some of the characteristics of other sites maybe great and useful but I think each site should have it's own brand and looks.

I love the clean look of Art Yah ... Etsy has become a hot mess with all the changes and testing  rotating back and forth and around and around! It was several years in itself before Etsy really took off. Instant gratification seems to be what everyone expects now a days. Art Yah is still in it's infant stages, so like anything it needs time to grow. Just my two cents worth.... Ü

I think Artyah's layout is great as it is, there are some things I would like to see, such as bulk editing (that is something that ebay does have right) behind the scenes and more category options within the shops at the front end but I think its current individuality is great.  It does look as if it will look more like E after the next lot of changes though which will probably suit a lot of people.

I agree with you completely. We do not need it to be like Etsy or to look like Etsy

I have such great hopes for ArtYah!  It really irritates me when I see others complain that we don't have some of the bells and whistles that the other two E's have and almost demand that we get them...and soon!  Every seller on here probably has a few pet "like to have" projects that they would love to have implemented, and I think Craig is doing an amazing job of moving the site forward as fast as he can.
Etsy is on a downhill slide for handmade and vintage and I think there will be a huge void in that area that ArtYah can (and will) fill...we don't NEED to be like Etsy, in fact I prefer to be VERY much un-like them.

As stated above, each of us has a few "like to have" projects...for me:
like any good online shopping venue, what we need is an excellent search function, and hopefully that is being worked on.

Totally agree with last comments made ... There just seems to be something different about Art Yah compared to other sites that have tried to take on Ebay and Etsy that strikes a very positive cord. Maybe it is the fact that administration is open to suggestions and that many people that have opened up here are also experienced successful sellers and buyers elsewhere. I also think the timing is right on, people are fed up with all the not so positive changes and cost factors elsewhere.   I'm thinking Art Yah will be our Golden Egg in our sellers basket.

So I have a question about watching.  Under listings>active. Next to the photo on some of our listings is a number, although most of the listings are a 0.  I was wondering if this was someone watching the item?
I have added the first item to my watching list from the shops byemilie, glassladyathome, and creativedesignsbybarb.  If any of you see a number next to those listings (in the menu under active) please let me know.
I'm just curious about the number[smile]!

Hello Lisa,

Yes, I see a number on my listing of Large Pumpkin ornaments set/2.
