I've just set my little shop up, I'm from the Midlands in the UK. I make textile crafts. I dye my own silks and cotton and use free machine embroidery to embellish the items. Every single piece is a unique one off item. I hope this site goes from strength to strength 😊 there's already some beautiful items listed.....

Thank you Debbie, I'll go and have a look, I think I still have a great deal to learn on this site! But the forums seem friendly and helpful 😊

Thank you for your lovely welcome SewNSewSister, what a beautiful shop you have, I think my work could be defined as quilting, but not in the same way as yours as i put several layers of fabric together to make the finished article!

Yes, your work could also be described as quilting...fiber art quilting. My quilting is more traditional, novelty and fiber art dealing exclusively with 2 layers of cotton and batting.
I do admire your lovely work!

Thank you Mary, SewNSewSister I'm still trying to find my way around this site! I see now, there's a like button on the discussions too! I'm not sure about the thumbs down button though 😣 3 pieces of my work are on show at one of the largest quilt festivals in the UK at the moment, I thought I'd enter to get more people to see my work. There in the contempory and 3D sections, so there's room for everyone.

In my opinion your work would be perfect for the 3D quilt category! Besides traditional I also make mini quilts and anchor to Artist's Canvas, wood bases and embroidery hoops. This no longer gives a 'flat' viewing of a quilt, but a 3D visual. All of the multiple embroidery threads, cottons and silks that you use also gives that 3D view. Simply lovely.

Hi Sue and Welcome

If you look at the top of the page, above the posts there are a selection of Tabs, click on Control Panel, then select the Edit Profile Tab when the new window opens.  Immediately below where you added your avatar is the option to add your signature :-)

Hello Christine, many thanks for your help, I think I've managed to do it 😊 I think I need to have a good search around all the tabs, it's all a bit overwhelming at the beginning!

Welcome Sue.  Seems there is a technical error on your shop location.  Although your items come up your shop will not and I get this error message.  Error / 錯誤 / خطأ / त्रुटि / ошибка / erro / エラー / Fehler / 오류 / erreur

I think you should contact management to see is this can be fixed.
Julie

@Julie - can you check your PM please [smile]

@Sue - I think the reason that Julie may have problems accessing your shop is your header image - it is nearly 15 Mb and so will take quite a while to load unless you have a VERY fast connection.  The header image

Recommended Dimensions: 1200px wide by 275px high at 72DPI.

Yours is 2259 x 2259 at 72 DPI

I'm having problems accessing my shop and account too! I have been in touch with customer services and I think they're dealing with it.

Can you access your Shop Profile - if so try deleting your header and see if that helps you access the front end that the customers can see
