I am really having a rough time.  When I first came aboard, I used my pricing from E.  I don't feel those prices will work on ArtYah so I am changing them.  Also, when I first opened shop, we did not have tags so now I am going through each one and adding tags.  Any suggestions from those of you who may have encountered the same situation?  Help!!

Hi Skydove, why do you feel the pricing won't work the same?  I keep our prices the same on all venues.  I have the shipping slightly lower here.
I recently updated all of our listings to include International shipping and added tags at the same time.  I sat down each morning with coffee and added 1/2 a page at a time. (It took me almost two weeks to finish them all).  I do know that this time of year I start second guessing our prices / our items / etc. as the sales can be very inconsistent.

We have not had any sales here and our sales on E are steady.  This is a new venue and I am very hopeful that it will get busier here and we can make this our main selling site.

skydove.  Why do you feel you need to change your pricing?  I also keep my prices consistent everywhere I sell.  I'm having the same experience as hooknsaw - steady sales on E, and none here in months.
This is one reason I'm not adding more listings yet.  I have enough listings on here to generate sales, if they come.  My concern is that customers already know where they can buy, so why come here?
I understand seller's complaints about etsy, but if customers are finding what they want there, they might still just go there.  I'm hoping I'm wrong, and that two sites can do well!

Generally I'm keeping my prices about the same everywhere.  I usually charge a little more on eBay to cover the higher fees.  On ArtYah I have a good number of items priced slightly lower than other sites just in case someone is aware of the different venues I sell on, they might decide to purchase on ArtYah because of those lower prices.

I had about 140 items listed on ArtYah before tags came along.  I'm not going to any great lengths to add tags to those older listings but I do plan on getting it done a little at a time when I'm in the mood.  That's my attitude about editing listings on all of my sites.  On Etsy, for example, I began adding my extra photos to listings as soon as they gave us ten slots, but I'm far from done and may not even get every single listing (525 on Etsy right now) edited until next spring! [smile]  I do think adding the tags on ArtYah can only help being found, but I'm also confident that good titles and subtitles will get the job done also.

My advice...so it isn't a dreaded chore...wait until you're in the mood and do as many listings as you can until it starts driving you nuts. LOL  I must take breaks from working on listings or it will put me to sleep for sure.Save

ajessup660   I don't think anyone is getting many sales yet, so don't feel bad.  Hopefully, that will change.

Artyah has only recently started doing some advertising, at the moment we are having to try and bring in customers ourselves, many of us are doing this via social media etc tryng to bring in customers to both our own and other people's shops to get Artyah better known.

well I ran a search the other day and one of my items popped up in the results.  I was surprised to find it was an Artyah listing.  I did NOT click on it.  It was a nice surprise.  I have not had a sale anywhere except ebay since my shop was suspended on etsy so I am discouraged right now.  Hoping things will pick up soon.  I have a lot of visits on Zibbet and Artfire because I have my addresses in my etsy banner but still no sales.

I'm thinking sales are slow everywhere right now ... people are finishing up with their vacations. Kids have or are starting school soon so there's all that on people's minds. Whenever I start a new endeavor I always think about that little train ... and repeat to myself. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can ... corny I know ... but it keeps me going.
One of my biggest times selling elsewhere is coming up plus being in a shop that keeps begging for my stuff with a big show coming up in September that they have our things in. Slightly overwhelmed but I have to keep telling myself to take it one step at a time.
YA! I do seem to talk to myself a lot ...... LOL ...............Ü Make it a great day everyone!

@ ajessep660...Been here almost 2 months and haven't made my first sale yet. But I am NOT discouraged. Since advertising has just started for Artyah it is safe to assume that it will take time to get that much needed traffic flowing here. Patience is more than a virtue here...it is a must! The best to you[smile]

I have been here a year and only one sale when I first joined. Not  much better at Etsy and a slight improvement at Ebay. Not getting discouraged here though. As others have said, advertising just started. I haven't had time to do much social media, I am hand quilting a queen quilt for grandson's wedding in September, but plan to get heavy into it end of September. Keep your spirits up, Rome wasn't built in a day.

Just me too,  you ask why will buyers come here when they can already purchase on another site. That is something I am working on now for our shop.
I am offering most of our new designs here and NOT on E.  I am also asking the groups that we donate items to, to link our artyah shop to their sites this year (all of these type links won't start until Sept. through Nov).
To save my sanity (and fingertips) during the holiday season I deactivate all of our made to order items on the other site, but I plan on keeping those listings active here.  I think that given enough  time our buyers will find us here.

hooknsaw.  I'm here also, because I'm hoping the site is going to work.  Otherwise I would have just stayed over there.
I would love to have Artyah become successful, for everyone!  I do have 51 listings here, but I am still listing a lot where I sell well,
rather than have it all sitting around.

Lisa, I am only offering made to order here and on my own site, not the E's.  I am also considering offering to put Christmas hats on personalised items as well.  I do this regularly for a repeat customer who resells my stickers and her clients love them.
