Saw this on Pinterest this morning. Very cute, but it's a little bit too much for me. [rolleyes] How about you? Do you like it and would it be uber-useful to you? It looks cluttered to me, and I'd be afraid that I'd bend over swiftly and stick myself in the face! [eek]

Click the link to see the sewing machine on board pin cushion wraps.

Ha ha I have this vision of you with lots of pins sticking out of your forehead.

I  agree with you about it being too much, I would find it distracting and as my eyesight is not what it used to be so when I want to thread the needle I have to go pretty close to the machine so I would probably have the pins sticking out of my head as well.

I agree with you! Too close to ones eyes for me.. I have been using those wonderclips instead.. takes getting used to-- but I like them better. Still use some pins but less than before.

Yes, I think it's a clever idea and any of us could make them for ourselves quite easily, but, I too, would be worried about jabbing myself in one way or another. (:  I might not stick myself in my eye, but I probably would get a scratch or two on my glasses from the pins.

Sidenote: I used to have a cat who loved to take one pin at a time out of my pincushion, until about fifty pins were scattered all around the cushion. Then I would put them back in, and he would start again.  It was too cute to actually punish him in any way.  He would also sometimes remove pins from fabric/patterns as I was working on them, gently guiding them out with his paw.

Yes, I do too! [eek] It's very cute, but I really think a hazard. And I just don't want anything on the front of my sewing machine anyway. I like to look at it. Sad, isn't it? Crafters' love for their toys. [crazy]

Off topic: I've not yet shared an image in our community. Was hoping that I could upload images from my computer. Can that be done, or do images have to be hosted somewhere online? I used to have images at Photobucket, but they charge a huge fee now for 3rd party hosting. I copied and pasted the link to the sewing machine image from Pinterest, and the image showed in my draft. Now I see that the image is not there. Glad I shared the link as an afterthought so yall could see it. Sorry you had to go offsite though.

Sandi,  Yes you can share and post images (but watch for copyright implications, most images on pinterest are put there without their copyright owners permission) so posting the link is the best idea.

This post = https://artyah.discussion.community/post/how-to-link-your-forum-photos-to-your-listings-8634792?pid=1300056114   = explains how to post in the forums and to link pictures to their original position - posting the link saves typing it out again [biggrin]

Thanks Christine! I edited it and was able to get the image to show, but I left it out, and will let the link suffice.
