That's good. I know it is hard to get wide attention to a product. We try hard ourselves to get the word out about our own products. And I'm sure other sites went through the same growing pains. As I said above, I have faith in Artyah because I feel it is based on good principles. It also has a beautiful and memorable logo. Once seen, it is hard to forget.

Hi all. I'm new here but I think it's great so far. I liked reading back through all these old posts and I feel like you Martique I want to have faith. I'm on board with you all and keen to create more listings as I get time. I really hope this site does well.

Can I just add. I'm often amazed at how cheap things are being sold for, both here and other sites.. Your wire wrapped jewelry for example. It's beautiful and obviously a lot of time has gone into it. I don't buy jewelry (a self employed male with 3 kids) but if I did I think your jewelry is very good and I'd buy some for sure. How come you sell it so cheap if you don't mind me asking? And do you sell much on here? Do you sell your items at other locations for higher prices? Sorry for all the questions but I'm curious about all this and never had the chance to ask another maker. I assume you do it full time?

Hi Ausworkshop.
Thank you for your compliments about my jewelry.

I do sell on another site but the prices are about the same. The items here are different designs but still used semi-precious stones and many wire wrapped items.
I think I price to cover costs and labour but then consider what the market will bear. This is a handcrafted venue as opposed to a high line niche street shop in L.A. where shopper don't even look at the price tag. It would be considered too gauche to to do that.

I do shop carefully for supplies and I'm not trying to pay off a mortgage with my profits. I have sold a few items here, pendants and bracelets, but as yet the traffic is modest at best.
I don't do this jewelry making "full time" although I enjoy the creation and even the accounting and photography and spend a few hours every day working on some part of the shops.

It would take a major miracle to see Artyah jump to the top "go to" site for handcrafted and vintage/antique finds.
Good thing I know that miracles happen.

Thanks for your reply.
Well as soon as I have time I want to get more involved on here, I think it looks great and very positive people which I think I need in my life right now.  I've been selling online for 14 years, I saw Etsy come along and grow to what it is now but was hesitant for years and still am, especially the way it's gone now.  This site look much more suited to my needs and I really hope it continues to grow when this new platform comes along finally.

Most of my work until now has been custom made on-off items, I'm a woodworker.  It's only recently I've got back in to running a shop again and having items for immediate sale but I enjoy a little bit of that on the side.  Certainly couldn't make a living of just the shop but it's fun and I get to make use of my scrap and off-cuts from the mill near me.
