Still no word back from Craig about our missing reviews or sales record. I'm hoping he received it or looks at the forum from time to time to see our concerns.

it is a benefit to just have the number of sales listed because people don't always leave reviews.

I emailed this concern to Craig probably six months or so ago, with nothing being fixed regarding it. Apparently, under this current platform there is no fix for it. We can only hope that under the new platform this problem will be corrected.

And, changing the subject, but it would sure be encouraging to have some input from the Administration here about any OUNCE of progress regarding the “new platform”. To be so silent for long periods of time makes me nervous and skeptical. Because of this, I have not renewed my expired listings, and I ended early the few that were left. I’m now just watching to see if this site ever truly does come to fruition. I hope it does. I know it’s all a lot of hard work. But to keep the ones that are hanging on here, there needs to be better communication and reasons for staying.

I agree with you, Rozelynn. To a degree, we are in this together, so updates would be nice. But would all the new updates attract more shoppers? I thought that was more marketing. I'm now on Twitter and Instagram so I'm trying to put the name Artyah in the public consciousness and vocabulary.

I think an update on the progress of the new site build would be nice, but I also understand that any info given is just an approximate time because there really is no way to give a firm launch date.  We all know life happens and things don't always go as smoothly as you hope they would.

Years ago I sold on a site that crashed and it took the owners a year to get it back up and running. The bad thing was by the time it was back, they had lost all their sellers/buyers.

The reason that feed back is disappearing is because if a FB is from a shop that closed their account then it disappears when they leave.

I think it would be nice to have the number of items sold showing along with the number of feedback. Because there are people who have sold items but never got FB for the transaction.

It is my understanding that Feedback disappears when a member/customer leaves I guess that it is the same for a member/seller, too, though.

I heard back from Craig and he said what you indicated, mjchischilly. When someone closes their account on Artyah, all history of their purchases and reviews are erased. He is trying to prevent this from happening on the next site model.

Feedback should stay, no matter what.  I keep looking for updates and I'm not seeing much.  Am I not looking in the right place?  What will be included in the "new platform" and when is it coming?  I moved here from Etsy last June.  Two shops with 370 listings.  No activity whatsoever.  Getting very discouraged.  Any advice?

I am not sure what is going on.

Craig used to give us pretty regular updates but, lately it has been very quiet.
I am getting discouraged which I am sure there are others feeling the same way.

I have already been through this on another platform...........lots of good ideas and a rebuild on the way etc.
Unfortunately things didn't go as planned..........it took years and by that time most of the sellers that migrated from Etsy left. [frown]

At this point I am glad that I didn't dump Etsy because it isn't looking good.
I hope I am wrong but??????????

Once Etsy forced the EP, I was done.  From what I understand there's been even more changes since then that a lot of people are unhappy about.  I'm sure it's still good for a lot of sellers...I wish you only success.  😉

Hoping we hear something from Craig soon...

I will not leave etsy, that is where I get the most sales. I am also on ebay, it is very slow for me there. I will hang in here at artyah, I like the site.

I've been here since last June. I have 'bragged' in the Etsy forums about the great communication we all receive from Craig and how he always kept us up to date. But mostly I emphasized the 'respect' he gave us Sellers unlike Etsy.

For quite a while now it has been like a ghost town here. Very little communication from Craig and the updates on the new site. Life happens as we all know. But I gotta admit I'm no longer feeling that respect I loudly bragged about in the E forums.

I still feel good about this site and its' future. But a girls gotta eat and have a roof over her head too. I have started moving my items out where they will get more exposure and I will put my shop in Vaca mode by end of month.

I'm sure Craig will email all of us when the new site is up and running. I really look forward to restocking my shop and getting the word out to help bring in more Sellers and Buyers. Blessings one and all.

Hopefully one day soon we will see the new site but until then...........I am letting my listings expire and will then put my shop on vacation.

It is discouraging but I feel this is temporary. I will maintain a presence here on Artyah and keep creating new items.
Aside from a new site build, I'm wondering what keeps shoppers from coming to Artyah. With or without a site revamp, wouldn't Artyah be promoting their presence on the web?
I know we are told to promote ourselves on social media etc. but as the "mall owner" I'm wondering what else could be done. I do understand the web is a big world and advertising is expensive.

Craig has advertised in a couple magazines and there are artyah accounts on all the social media sites. That's the advertising I know of.

Just received my ecommercebytes news letter and saw that artyah is mentioned there too.
