I used to be on Zibbet. Was there for two years enthusiastically promoted and never sold a single item.

It's so easy to use (and I try to share lifestyle stuff too, not just listings) that I can hardly have any experience during the day where I'm not whipping out my cellphone to share it. It takes time to format the shares, especially with as many ###s as possible.

I hate FB, but I'm still there with my 2 business pages. I'm ambivalent about sharing to them anymore since FB changed what's being shared in feeds. They don't favor the independent seller anymore, but mainly conversations now. They said this was the purpose of FB in the beginning. Too bad they encouraged sellers to launch business pages and coerced them to stop sharing selling posts on their profiles. If you think all of your connections are seeing your posts now, you should check into that.

I know what you mean with FB and instagram. A lot of my Etsy team mates flocked to FB for consolidated promotion efforts, had a great little grove going and then we got the carpet yanked out from underneath us. Sometimes it feels like the small hand made retailers are the “step children” of the internet. Always banished to live under the stairs. Also hear you on the social media sharing thing. I’m not the sort that feels like sharing too much personal stuff through social media.. Yet in order to get a following and promote one is expected to be “personal” online. It gets exhausting, I can talk about, share product and talk creating and promotion all live long day, but really don’t find “the sandwich I’m eating” that interesting to talk about. I’ll post photos of my cats and I post vicariously through the gnome in my yard. (He is way more interesting to talk about. Than what I’m doing.)
Pinterest has been solid though.

I have had a zibbet shop since 2012 or so.
I had some sales when I was promoting it.

I just recently started to list again but, haven't done any promoting.
It doesn't cost me anything so I figure I might as well put up all my listings in my shop there.

what I find strange about zibbet is that I have 5,242 views in the last year but it doesn't end up in a sale.  On artfire I have a few incoming views and it does.  Both are paypal
