I've had my second sale on ArtYah, but in the email instead of like my first order of showing
me how much was paid it says this:

Your item has been purchased! However, until you have received an email from PayPal confirming that payment has been made, you may need to check the status of the order. You may also need to make adjustments with the shipping costs and email the invoice to the buyer.

I can see for sure that no payment has been received, having looked at my sales I saw the option to send an invoice, I have now done that and 14 hours later no payment still so I'm aware the customer may end up just changing their mind and not continuing it, in the mean time the listing is not active any more and no one else can buy it.  This isn't good at all, what if it had been a one of a kind item, I wouldn't be able to put a replacement listing up if it had been, just in case the original 'buyer' wants it.

If I look at my "sales" I see the order has a "view invoice" option, when I go into it there is no confirmation or sign that I have indeed successfully emailed the invoice earlier today, I see a button saying "email invoice", I am now reluctant to press it in case I have already done it, I don't want to spam my customer, I have already sent them a conversation based on the other advice in the email to "please contact the buyer at the link below to complete the sale", which leads me to another issue, do we HAVE to contact buyer to 'complete the sale' or is it already completed?

My first customer was in UK, payment went through straight away, this second one is in USA and I had to select the correct shipping for them on their invoice, why is this?  Currently I'm in a situation where a listing has been taken off my shop for over 12 hours yet no payment has been made.

Just an update to let you know ArtYah have explained it was a test purchase to try out a new cart feature, so a big waste of my time trying to contact the 'buyer' and find out what is going on.  I was charged fees for the sale too so good job I contacted artyah as now they've been refunded, I was also charged for them resisting the 'sold' listing, all those fees have been taken off now, annoyingly the 'sale' remains in my summary as an item awaiting payment.

Sorry you seem to have been the test case Jess. I believe tests are what make a lot of Etsy sellers very unhappy, so hopefully, this won't happen again. Unlike you, I did not have the energy to chase down the extra 10 cents for the additional listing fee, nor the slightly higher commission fee and my sold listings still show that I sold two scarves, not one. But at least it was a real sale, and not a test.

Hmm, I had a very similar non-sale a little over a week ago.  I wonder if it was the same type of situation, a test sale.  It didn't seem so because the name and address on the invoice really seemed legitimate.  I also tried messaging the buyer but I haven't heard anything back.  I imagine if it was ArtYah, they would let me know...or so I hope. (:  Usually ArtYah does all the testing on a test site, but I guess they couldn't this time around.

Artyah should notify sellers when they are going to do this.

Artyah doesn't have to test on real sellers. They can set up their own fake accounts for testing.

When I first started here I made a purchase and didn't realize I had to check what shipping option I wanted. The seller sent me a message about it and what to do and I paid. Do you have different shipping options? Like 1st class, priority, etc.? I'd invoice them and also send them a message through artyah.

Well I hope it isn't actually a genuine sale then as my 'customer' is waiting for it, but I'm waiting for a payment, ArtYah have since said it was a test purchase they made, it is annoying as it is showing in my sold orders but as awaiting payment even though I asked them to remove it and after they said they would.
