Well. I think I have finally found out what my computer problem is. I had the modem checked and it was ok. Bought a new Router and installed it. That did not fix it so was getting ready to buy a new computer. Called a friend and ask to bring my computer and hook ti up there and check it. Brought it over, hooked it up and everything worked fine.
So will be contacting the service provider tomorrow for them to come and check the lines. It is working great right now. The sun is out. This morning we had a thunderstorm and it would not do anything at all.
So I figure there is a leak on the line and water is getting in.
Hope I don't have any trouble with them coming out. They are kind of independent.

Glad you're getting it worked out, Barb. It's frightening to think about not being able to go online for an indefinite amount of time.

I'm so glad you were able to narrow down the problem and not spend a bunch of money on a new computer. 😃  Years ago, we were having trouble with our cable TV in our study and it turned out some of the cables buried in the yard had become frayed. The cable company tech couldn't do a lot without laying new cable in that area, but managed to "rig it" so they've been fine ever since.

Well, I finally have it all figured out. Suddenlink must have found a leak on the lines because now when it rains everything is ok. I had already gone and bought another computer so now I have 2.
I also took Firefox off the old computer and now only use Edge on each of them so everything is working fine,

Good deal, Barb! Guess you'll be selling a new computer.
