Most of the time when I post, people do not react by liking or commenting. I can see how many people saw the post, but no response. This is everywhere, at every social media site. Very few people react, if at all. Ask a question or for opinions, same thing. So he said posts like this will not be shown as much, posts that don’t draw a huge response.
If you post a lot, he gave example of someone posting 30 times per day, like people using schedulers, your posts will get less exposure. I’d already heard of FB hiding posts and blanking out the images in posts. I’d seen it done too. Apparently, they will be doing it more now.
Seems that our business pages posts may be seen even less now. I don't understand why they created the business pages, then virtually forced members who are sellers to launch them and post there, only to demote them now in the news feeds. It seems now that it will be even MORE useless to post and upkeep these pages.
Trendy content that elicits a lot of response will take more precedence in the news feeds, over slow content, or content that would only be interesting to a small audience. I post on my business page to share my listings. If that is not swift enough for them, then I guess I won’t be wasting my time there if my business pages posts will be automatically pushed to the bottom of the news feed.
I never cared much for FBook anyway. Pages too junky and crammed with stuff, among other things. I'll keep my account for times when I need to interact with a company or event via FB, because that's why I came back anyway, but I'm glad to know that I don't have to waste my time trying to promote there anymore.
