Yes, I'd like to know also. I feel like an elf making lots of toys and can't seem to find Santa.

I like that analogy Martha! I think we would all like to know the latest.
I would like to go off Vaca mode and get my shop back to business. Been kinda quiet around here.

I would like to know as well, when is that update coming?  If we get the update are we going to get more exposure? I have been here over a year (almost two) and had one sale, right at the beginning.  I am currently letting my items expire as I see not much going on.  I was putting everything here and posting to the Google community a couple of times per week.  I have have a shop on Etsy and H@A and both are slow, but I still get sales.  I was on Zibbet two years, again nada...this reminds me of Zibbet.  If you don't promote, promote, promote yourself, you are dead in the water.  I don't want to keep promoting to my family and friends.    I dislike the direction Etsy has taken with fake handmade.  I really wanted Artyah to work. Sorry just ranting.

Self promotion is necessary on any internet business venture but it is getting more difficult. Most, if not all sites, will only show your messages to people who do not already follow you if you pay to promote or "boost" your posts.

Maybe they can let us know if the updates will be done this year or next year????? I have worked around techs and I know it doesn't take this long for updates and new platforms. I am curious if it will even really happen at this point.

I agree TinaDreamCatcher. I'm feeling a bit ignored with updates at this point. Even if it's not great news we can take it Craig. Please give us an update [wave]

I think it would be great to know about the time frame for the update. This is starting to feel like being blown off and dragged out. Some kind of explanation would be great and respectful for everyone waiting.

Craig, PLEASE give us an update.  I opened 2 shops over a year ago and have had no sales.  I don't want to leave, but need to know what's going on so I can make an informed decision.

Just an opinion here. The new platform is VERY expensive. I don't think this site is making enough money to cover the cost of a new platform. I think that Craig went into this with the best of intentions, but now can't afford to deliver. I would like to see this site succeed. The magazine ads that were placed was just wasted dollars. That money could have been spent on attracting buyers. Without buyers, sellers are getting discouraged and do not want to keep listing. I for one have had to stop listing. It is a double edged sword. No listings=no buyers. No buyers=no listings.

I know that this site does not have the most up to date technology and may seem a bit "small town" to some buyers, but it has it's own quaint charm which is expected from a handmade platform.
So even if everything stayed exactly as it is now, would it be so bad.
Perhaps after salaries, all profit could go into promoting Artyah. I know we are responsible for driving our own traffic, but there is a limit to what and where we can advertise. Also there is a cost to the seller to pay for advertising that may bring customers.  It is hard to pay for advertising when there are few sales.
Free exposure on Pinterest and the likes of Facebook, bring few clients.
Hard to know which way to proceed but I understand that individual sellers have to look at their own business finances and determine the plan of action that fits their needs.

Craig has always had respect for us Sellers...it's one of the things we have been proud of and spread the word on. Not feeling that pride so much anymore. Craig, please show that respect now, and let us have an update.

To everyone that is inquiring about ArtYah 2.0,

Life happens... Work takes a backseat to things of this nature.

My mom has been hospitalized and is recovering.  I expect her full recovery to take a few months if not longer.

For ArtYah, our latest update is that we are continuing to work on the new site and we are making progress with it. Timeline is not a guarantee as things come up that are not anticipated.

One of our designers also had a family member that needed their assistance and that also takes time to recover from and throws the balance of work load off for our developers.

We do not have a time line that we can guarantee at this time. I expect that the end of the year is now more promising.

Our current ArtYah 1.0 site still functions very well. We are putting on new buyers and sellers on a daily basis.

I have been told by sellers that their items are coming up in Google searches and they are making sales.

ArtYah is safer than ever before.

With our very intense IP blacklist check and email verification process, we have reduced the number of incidences down to almost zero and keeping the bad guys out is our number one importance.

So, there you have it. Hope this information is helpful. It is the best update that I have so far.

Thank you,

Craig AY customer service
