@Justmetoo: It's not a matter of what I "think" Etsy is pulling it is a fact that they are hijacking sellers' promotional efforts away from their shops and toward the site and their competitors. Not a matter of what I think. This is fact.

As I mentioned, I wish you and anyone luck no matter what your decision and I mean that. I just prefer not to support a venue that has so little regard for those who built it and I refuse to promote it in any way. I would rather support a venue that values their customers and recognizes that customer support is key.

Again, good luck to you and I'm thinking that I've been here as long as you have but due to personal issues with my hubby's health I've not been able to put my full focus on selling until recently.

thetinseledwhisker.  That's exactly what Craig complained that I wouldn't do!  He wanted me to pull my etsy customers over to this site!  It's a dirty and desperate way to operate, no matter who is doing it.
Etsy has their customers for a reason.  I hope if this is ever a viable site, that another site doesn't expect the seller's here take their customers over there, or Craig will be getting back what he's doing himself!!

Thank you Craig - looking forward to it! I believe this site will take off - Etsy is letting go of the handmade and letting in mass produced items. The people who like quality handmade and are willing to pay for it still exist, and they will find this site. It always takes a while to build anything from the ground up - the gods willing, we will get there!

Good luck with the course correction and see if you can find a way to help us help you.

Thank you so much! We will be neding marketing and people that want to contribute to blog posts and other advertising areas. When we get going we will post to the updates section or on the forums of what we will need.

Great news Craig. You have created a perfect site in concept that so many sellers have been crying out for for such a long time and I, for one, am very grateful. I will support the site for as long as it takes to really take off and I would hope the majority of sellers will do the same. Low costs, such a small price to pay for a site that has great potential. Rome was not built in a day.

I sold 4 to 6 necklaces a month on Etsy, I kept my upper end there unlike Artfire and Zibbet.  I haven't sold anything on Zibbet since they updated their format and removed individual sales numbers.  I do have a lot of traffic on Zibbet tho.  Artfire is averaging 1 item a month. I have had two sales on Ebay, but because I am a new 'seller' even those my feedback as a buyer is in the 400 range, I can only list 10 items until I get 10 seller feedback ratings.

It was quite a drop in sales closing Etsy because of their policy changes.  Just waiting for the market to open back up.  It has been quiet all around.  I don't plan on closing this shop and will wait for the new changes.  My Artfire and Zibbet shops are free to list, no commission and that is where I have the majority of my inventory.  Now there is a postage increase coming in January, that always makes a mess when you have to raise the postage.

Everyone knew this was a new site with no followers when they signed up. Like any new commercial undertaking, it always takes a lot more than most people realize to be successful. That's why about 60% of new restaurants fail within the first year. When you list here, a new shopping center, you have to consider the site an investment as well as a venue. Either be prepared to weather the trials of a new venture or close your shop. Craig is to be commended for all he has done and the huge investment he has made. Believe me, he needs Artyah to succeed more than any of us. Craig needs to be thanked and encouraged, not stoned.

I am going to try my best to stay with it here.  I had hoped that things would take off here quicker so I could leave etsy.  I am looking forward to being part of a site with integrity... for a change.  No stones to cast.

Lesley Fry commented earlier, and I quote parts of it:

"When you list here, a new shopping center, you have to consider the site an investment as well as a venue. Either be prepared to weather the trials of a new venture or close your shop. Craig is to be commended for all he has done and the huge investment he has made. Believe me, he needs Artyah to succeed more than any of us. Craig needs to be thanked and encouraged, not stoned."

Thank you Lesley Fry. Couldn't have said it better myself. Acrimonious comments, and whingeing at everything, are so counterproductive, and lashing out at Craig is so low and unfair.
I, for one, would rather my fees do not go into a 20 Million Dollar renovation of a 9 story head quarters in Brooklyn, which is merely leased: complete with "breathing rooms", yoga classes, craft classes, trice weekly catered lunches from the finest Restaurants, and salaries 40% above industry standards. This in addition to zero customer service.

But as said before: To each his own.
I would like to add my voice to the chorus thanking Craig, and I'm happy to be part of this venue, and will do what I can to help it succeed.
